01

Who is responsible

NORD Chamonix SAS, Route des Grands Montets, 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France, is the data controller for personal data collected through this site and in the course of a stay.

Questions about this notice, or any request concerning your data, can be sent to privacy@nord.fr.

02

What we collect

When you book: your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, arrival and departure dates, the number and names of guests, and anything you choose to tell us about dietary requirements, access needs or the occasion.

When you pay: payment is processed by our payment provider. Full card numbers are never seen by, or stored on, our systems.

When you browse: pages viewed, the approximate region derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. Analytics are collected only where you have accepted them.

03

Why we hold it, and on what basis

To take and honour a booking, and to answer enquiries — necessary for the performance of a contract, article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

To meet legal obligations, including accounting records and the police registration form which providers of accommodation in France are required to complete for guests — article 6(1)(c).

To send occasional seasonal notes, where you have asked us to — consent, article 6(1)(a), which you may withdraw at any time.

To keep the site secure and to understand how it is used — our legitimate interest in running the house well, article 6(1)(f).

04

Who else sees it

Our booking system, payment provider, email provider and site host process data on our behalf under contract. Where a provider operates outside the European Economic Area, transfers are covered by the European Commission standard contractual clauses.

We share data with public authorities only where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else to market to you.

05

How long we keep it

Booking and accounting records are kept for ten years, as French commercial law requires. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after three years.

Marketing consent is held until you withdraw it, and we confirm it is still wanted every three years. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months.

06

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them, and you may change that decision at any time from the banner.

Your choice is stored for six months, after which we will ask again.

07

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or ask for your data in a portable format.

Write to privacy@nord.fr. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.

08

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés, 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or through cnil.fr.
